We are waiting for our furnitures to be delivered!!!!
They called to meet at 11ish at the customs, and it went well like a customs clearance at the customs
no gloves at all, LOL
My daughter said to the officer "I have LOTS of COSTUMES!" because we told her we are going to the "customs" and of course she understands something to do with costumes (princesses dresses, etc...)
But since they guy called back and said that there wasn't enough to park the truck... so they have to unload to another
Soon, it's 2... and all those 150+ boxes to arrive

At least tonight not sleeping on the inflatable mattress, king size mind
Ah those inforgettable first weeks
On another hand we are battling through email with the estate agent back home, who tell us an offer has been made for our house, but doesn't say what the offer is, we ask, and then she replies that we need to talk...
Kiddies are excited!!! not a really good time to talk over the phone, but do they understand that the estates agents? LOL
tic toc tic toc...

Sorry to hear about the slow progress with your house sale would renting it out for the short term be an option.
We completed the sale of our property on 22/12 , ever since we received the offer the news keep reporting houses prices are going up
but I haven't seen any signs of it.
Also how did your landing go and did you use a friends address for your
PR cards to be sent.

Hi Joinerboy
We're near Pontefract and house sales are still virtually at a standtill. If there is still no movement by end of April we will try to rent, although not sure what demand there is for renting, never done it before.
Landing was so simple - in and out within 30 minutes from getting off the aeroplane.
Social Insurance Cards arrived just before we left, currently taking about 5 days to arrive.
Could not apply for PR cards, we don't know anyone in Canada - need to arrive in Canada by 19 June or it will cost us $50 each (I think)! to apply for our PR cards.
I really hope the housing market starts moving soon - trying not to worry about it, what will be will be.
Congratulations on selling your house and goodluck for the future.
