Apology to Dollface

Sorry for my dummy spit, it was kind of a swiss cheese model of pissing Steve off causation. Pretty rare, and unwarranted, please forgive me.

I think your apology is a bit late. She's gone.

I am Facebook friends with Dollface. She hasnt seen the apology but I have told her about it. This was her reply. I appreciate his apology and me quitting the site had nothing to do with him

Oh, so I can stop researching then? I think I'll still put stevenglish1 on ignore just as a safety precaution.

What little I read of his prior suggests that this is prudent.

I always miss Every spat! I seem to come in just after it's all calmed down and we're all playing cricket again....there was a memorable one before Christmas apparently, and then one just recently and I missed them both! Now this! Don't know what was said...but I've always liked Dollface and hope she comes back to play.

Somewhere on the forum there's a "take it outside" section (I think that's what it's called) where there's more of an "anything goes" attitude.

Perhaps it would be fun to have a sort of quarantine area in each part of the forum where removed posts are displayed (temporarily?) giving those of us who miss them a chance to catch up.

Re: Apology to Dollface

So I can't even apologise without getting a gob full, kind of puts some of you in a worse light than me, at least I recognise when I'm out of order. Dollface has received my apology and had the good grace to accept it which is what counts, so anyone with a problem with me can either grow up or bite me.

I don't have a problem with you but I don't want to bite you:p either and I most certainly don't want to grow up. Shame about Doll Face but she obviously had her reasons and she's accepted your apology so onward etc. Oh and well done for apologising. Lots don't unfortunately.

At least you apologises publicly unlike some posters who send you simpering "oh you know I didn't really mean it " PMs and then continue to act like complete C you next Tuesday s in the threads... Anyway he seems to have done a bunk too !

No, he is still a member.

As the OP has said his bit and Dollface is no longer a member of BE, perhaps we can let this thread die off quietly now.

Thanks.

No mod has closed nor killed off the thread. It was a simple request, nothing more.

If you wish to discuss this further, please pm a mod or Sue.

Thank you.

Well, since it's the mood of the times. I suppose I'll apologise for calling Dollface vapid and for making fun of that ghastly McMansion she lived in. There's no good reason why everyone should be of a serious turn of mind and neither is there anything wrong with having a roll-on brick and copper facade, nor roll-on brick and brass, nor roll-on brick and brass and copper and fibreglass lions and balloon curtains. It was small minded of me to reject her alternative view of "tasteful".

I'd be interested, mind, to know if she was married to a footballer.

Why would you write this about a person who is no longer a member? Sorry I just dont get, is it really necessary to write such sarcastic comments about a person? does it give you some kind of warped pleasure to berate a person who is not here to defend them selfs or even a member any more?

I wont be passing your "apology" on.

I had a quick look back..couldn't find many cross posts with Dollface...is this because they have dissapeared? ..but it IS very Canadian, wait till they have gone and hammer the poor sod....so maybe assimilation has taken place?

I really don't "dislike" anybody on here...has the winter gone on too long...are we all just cranky with one another...I don't like missing out on the odd spat, but I do think it's odd that so many take place during these winter doldrums.

The comments didn't come from Canadians and the ones I imagine pushed her to leave were not on this thread......

Anywhoo, I'm convinced dollface will take it all with a pinch of salt.....she's a tough aul boot.... actually I'd be surprised it she gave two shits

Maybe she just left because she was bored, found this a consuming waste of time and had more interesting things to do with her life.

I can't imagine too many people get too upset with what is posted on here as it is mainly just banter and a healthy exchange/debate of ludicrous ideas.

I agree...;)

I think sometimes snippy ignorant comments are harder to shake off when it's personal.....but then again, it's a forum, everyone, unfortunately, is entitled to an opinion...

I made some personal comments to a lady that didn't deserve it, and felt bad about it. Therefore I apologised, is apologising so rare nowadays that it warrants 3 pages of debate?
