Anyone move back to Uk from Calgary?
#1
Hi,
My husband and I got an opportunity to move to Calgary. He got a job offer, I dont. We dont have children, just a dog.
I am more enthusiastic about moving than my husband, maybe because I dont feel like I fit in well with the lifestyle in the UK. I am originally from bangkok, my husband is from North Yorkshire. Because I am more excited about the move, I may just see the positives not the negatives. Can you please share you experience?
Thanks
Padthai

I'm moving back from Vancouver if that is any help?! I don't know anything about living in Calgary but if you are Asian you would certainly love it in Vancouver. The Asian population in Vancouver is one of the best bits about living here for me

What a bloody stupid, racially stereotyping statement to make.

Hi
Butch: your comment is funny, but I dont know if you are being serious or funny so I should to laugh instead then.
I've been to Vancouver last year. It was really nice and they are plenty of food of my choices. Lots of Padthai...hehe. I love it but I don't think OH could find a job there.
Fishfinger, how come you move back from Vancouver? It is such a lovely place tho. Are you considering moving to other part of Canada or you come back for good now?
Thanks

Don't think I was being racist at all, just saying that she would feel at home there with lots of fellow Thai's. Lots of Asian people want to be among their own and there is nothing wrong with that. My son attends a school where 99% of the kids are Asian and I purposely chose the school because of that.
