Parts Unknown series?
I don't normally watch too many US programs but find this really quite good.

Watched them all, I thinks? Scotland one was fun, defending against a knife attack lol. Very real view of life elsewhere I thinks, and food, and getting drunk !!
Not like Palin, more gritty real life stuff

It's more to do with the cuisine of the countries visited. After all he is a chef. Some tourism involved in the programmes, but not as with Palin.

Nope, I can't stand him. He's just someone who makes sweeping and incredibly vacuous pontifications as if he's the naffing Dali Lama, when in reality he's just an old stinky junkie from New York. It tells you a lot about the state of American cable news when they peddle this rubbish, but maybe they know their audience.
