Hey! We've been living downtown TO for the past 18 months (OMG LOVE it!!!) but are soon to be moving out to Cambridge. Just wondered if theres anyone already out there (or close by) to chat/meet up with! Seems to be a fair few British places around, though I haven't frequented any of them as yet! Anyone got anything good/bad to say about the area? I was considering creating a Cambridge meetup group on meetup dot com, because everything seems to centre around KW, and it would be nice to have something of our very own! Anyone else be interested in that maybe?
Hope to hear from LOADS of you soon! LOL!

Thanks! I'm looking for a good Britsh anything really! LOL! How is Guelph? I drove through it the other day - it looked like a great place! Are you part of any British meetups or the like??

Guelph is nice in a 'Stepford Wives' kind of way.
We're not part of any meetups though we have met a few BE members in the past. There are a few round the KW-Cambridge-Guelph area (two that we knew went home -lol). We've just got on with Canadian life and become assimilated and most of our friends are Canucks.
If you want any specific info or help then PM me.
Good luck.

Cambridge is dumb and the house prices reflect so. The once lovely downtown has all but but beem abandon In favor for strip mall land on Hespler It is the kind of place you wish you picked Kitchener/Waterloo or Guelph.
Don't do it stay in Toronto. Or pick Kitchener/Waterloo or Guelph.

We work in Cambridge (live in Milton). House prices there are much cheaper than Milton, but when we bought we were going in opposite directions for work.
The infrastructure in Cambridge is pretty maxed out. There are a lot of British-influenced places in Cambridge - right on Townline (when you get off the 401) there's a British pub (the Duke and Duchess), and a British bakery that has real Cadbury's, etc.
