I've bought extra beer as I have the whole weekend off. I'm saving the excitement part for when I've finished decorating the kids bedrooms.

We'll be going to a B-i-L's for a traditional turkeyfest. It'll be quite the family gathering but a few glasses of vino should help. Not having to either cook or do the washing up also makes attendance more palatable.

I think that given the excuse we'll probably kill the fatted turkey on Monday.

I'll open the wine.
We watched a programme on Bowie last night, it was good.

Im cooking a chicken, only two of us so a turkey would be too much food. DD is visiting her boyfriend in Victoria, so it's car stuff and garden tidying this weekend, but I have hurt my shoulder at work so have done little today, tomorrow we are attempting to attach a thingy box to the lawn tractor so I can drive it around trying to suck up the leaves. Did have a successful time at the swap meet this morning buying car stuff so its all good

Got the chestnuts and bread cubes but as we've just spent the last two and half hours in Rodney's Oyster place and because we're now absolutely naffed up, the stuffing making will have to wait until tomorrow morning. I've now got to stop HID making drunk phone calls, although she seems fairly determined.

Yep but that's it for the evening. We just popped in for a few snacks and came out with a $180 bill and it was happy hour.

Gosharootie! Is that all going in the stuffing or are you all already stuffed? .....it's Generally at 'this point' in the proceedings that I think it's all likely to go to hell in a handcart and we "drastically" simplify the menu!

We went to the cinema and saw The Natiomal Theatre production of Othello, which was stunning. Then came home and ate huge amounts of ham and veggies.

Thankfully I resigned from my old job just in time, or I would have been working!

I'll be cooking turkey and all the trimmings and then getting ready for my new job starting on Tuesday
