Busking works a treat outside Starbucks. Must be the customer demographic, innit. Complete with small wiry dog on a lead made of electrical wire, same principle as UK. Also plenty of cafes, restaurants, to work in prior to being 'discovered'.

Seriously though - I can't offer any advice but my parents are planning to move out after hubby & I. My Mum is a keen painter - loves to work in water colours (amongst other mediums) - she has a keen interest in landscapes (especially with water) & animals/wildlife, I guess she'll have much inspiration once in Alberta

She is really looking forward to painting in Canada - she's done lots of the Cotwolds where she lives & always takes her paints on holiday with her where ever she goes, so i'd be really interested to hear what you get back.
