I assume as this is a land journey, then ESTA isn't needed. Is this correct?
Do you queue at the border if you're on the train? Do you have to get off the train?
Will there be any problems with me? I have a B1/B2 tourist visa.
Thank you!

The US Customs is at the Pacific Central station in Vancouver and the platform is fenced off. The train will stop at the border for the border guards to inspect, but you do not have to disembark.
And yes, ESTA is not required for the train. B1/B2 visa should make it easier for you unless it has expired, in which case you will have to get an I94W.

I suspect that foreigngirl will need neither an ESTA or T94W if she is not a national of a visa waiver program country. The B1/B2 visa should work.

Thank you, guys. JonboyE is right, I'm a citizen of a country not part of the visa waiver program. Good to know the B1/B2 visa is sufficient.
