Re: Amazing blue sky's!
I saw the snow on the mountains for the first time this morning when I was driving up the Shaganappi from the Bow River.
I was driving alone, and anyone seeing me laughing and whooping with joy would have thought me quite mad!! :scared: btw I'm sitting here in the sun under a cloudless blue sky as I write this! What a wonderful place to live! :D |
Re: Amazing blue sky's!
I have just been laying in the hammock on the deck having a beer looking at the beautiful blue sky thinking ....................the only other time I can recall in my short life that I have seen sky's like this, is when I have been skiing in Europe .........usually because of all the snow the sky has been sooo blue.........here we have it already...... just imagine when the snow's arrive.
I'll stop going on now ......just got that Friday feeling and feeling very chilled |

I took it from 12 Mile Coulee Road in the northwest. I would almost be the view from Butch's house if it wasn't for the houses in between. :D:D:D Cheers Steve |

Simple answer I don't know, I guess I'm not sure it is good enough. I keep getting told by those close to me that I am far too critical of my own work. All that being said I would not be averse to selling a copy to Joe (and Ro) Public if they asked. :o |

It's a gorgeous shot Steve. Thanks for posting it! :D

Re: Amazing blue sky's!
That makes me feel so peaceful, happy and sad all at once....
...peaceful because it is so evocative and brings back great memories of being soooo calm, happy because I have been lucky enough to see those mountains and blue skies many times now and sad because I have to continue to wait until I get them again - although hopefully not too long. makes my tummy do little flippies too :D What a great pic - thank-you for sharing :) |
Re: Amazing blue sky's!

Blimey, I thought SK had some amazing skies! That is a gorgeous picture.
Well at least in Saskatchewan we don't have those damned mountains getting in the way of our views. |

Re: Amazing blue sky's!
This might be a "REALLY STUPID" question, is the sky over there really that different to the sky in the UK? Slap me if that's a really stupid question but I had to ask.

Emma x Its the land of the BIG sky here. Wherever you are in the countryside the sky seems so wide, no doubt as its quite a flat landscape. And it appears bluer here in AB (well we think so anyway), probably due to the clearer air/lack of pollution |

Re: Amazing blue sky's!
Hangman,
What a fantastic picture,... beautiful sky. Im sure it would be a spectacular view if the Mountains werent in the way. Just about to start my application process next week, but youre picture has forced me to start work on it right NOW. Edit. Just noticed someone else has already posted my stupid comments about the Mountain. Incidentally, has anyone considered emmigrating to Prince Edward Island, seems a nice place but a bit far from REAL Canada ,I suppose everywhere is a bit far from the next town ? |
