After it was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note:

Dear Ms. Davis,

I want to be very clear on my child's illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint. I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm. This picture is of me selling a shovel
.

Or at least that's what she tells you and the teaching staff!!!

What a lovely post! It has brightened my day. Please ask your children to draw a few more snow shovels to send over to Blighty.

Right off to get the kids from school. Must make sure I check their bags tonight...

That reminds me of the time we lived in an apartment and got a cat. We weren't supposed to have animals in the apartment so I told our son that we had to keep it quiet. He was 6 at the time. One day I went to pick him up from school and his teacher said to me, "I know about the cat" and winked. I wasn't sure what she was on about until I saw the work they had done in class that day. It was the 100th day of school and his class had to draw a picture and write a sentence about "What they did not want 100 of". Our son had drawn a picture of a cat and underneath had written .... "I do not want 100 cats. You can hide 1 cat but you can not hide 100"

You all should be really proud of your kids, at least they are doing homework, as they get older it becomes more of a struggle, and that's from the teacher viewpoint

I love that one about the cats!

Little Miss Miggs recently said, in Catholic school, who about to say her prayers said, in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, Salom......... We have muslim friends who we always greet in Arabic and English - thankfully the teacher laughed!
