Always check your kids homework

After it was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note:
Dear Ms. Davis,
I want to be very clear on my child's illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint. I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm. This picture is of me selling a shovel.

Or at least that's what she tells you and the teaching staff!!!

What a lovely post! It has brightened my day. Please ask your children to draw a few more snow shovels to send over to Blighty.
Right off to get the kids from school. Must make sure I check their bags tonight...

That reminds me of the time we lived in an apartment and got a cat. We weren't supposed to have animals in the apartment so I told our son that we had to keep it quiet. He was 6 at the time. One day I went to pick him up from school and his teacher said to me, "I know about the cat" and winked. I wasn't sure what she was on about until I saw the work they had done in class that day. It was the 100th day of school and his class had to draw a picture and write a sentence about "What they did not want 100 of". Our son had drawn a picture of a cat and underneath had written .... "I do not want 100 cats. You can hide 1 cat but you can not hide 100"

You all should be really proud of your kids, at least they are doing homework, as they get older it becomes more of a struggle, and that's from the teacher viewpoint
