Default Air Canada Price Drop

Hi,

I had a pleasant surprise today when booking a pair of tickets to fly from Ottawa to London Heathrow in March. I looked this morning on aircanada.com and they were $199 each way.
I went to book them this evening and they had dropped to $119 each way, so saving $320 in total for the two of us!
At the moment the price of a return trip in March is $675! Not too bad considering the prices over the last year.

Wow - thanks so much for posting that info. Jim and I are planning a trip to europe next spring and were planning to fly with another airline. We will now check into air canada. Hope it works out.

Yep same here but the other direction! I was looking this morning for my sister to come in March next year and in the space of a couple of hours the price dropped by 300ukp for the family. QUestion is, will they go even lower or suddenly shoot back up?

BTW it is cheaper for them to fly direct with AC on regular flights than with Air Miles (you have to pay the taxes etc even though you are using air miles) so something to keep in mind!

Wow - that is good news.

I'm gutted as I have booked my trip to Houston through them, and it was quite pricey....

Will keep in mind for trips home, have a wedding in spring next year, just wish bride and groom would choose a date! GGRRR

They have a international flight sale on until 27 November - they do this fairly often. If you sign up with AC you get email notification each time they have a sale.

I don't think it will go lower. I've just priced up an Ottawa-London trip for February. It came to $705, including the whopping fuel surcharge. I've made that trip numerous time over the last three or four years and I haven't seen the total fare as low as that. The surcharge may come down but I'm prepared to bet that, if it does, the base fare will go up.

I'm putting pressure on my boss to firm up on the dates for the trip so I can buy a ticket asap.
