Re: Abduction in the Algarve

To think the Mum may have kept her alive and hidden is unreal and obscene but how else was the blood found 25 days later. If it had been analysed by portugese specialists then I would probably think it had been tampered with but it wasnt it was done in the uk

The whole thing is unreal , I just hope there is some closure soon for everybody

I've just finished reading the book on Fred and Rose West.......................and believe me when I say it was a sick book. They seemed like a normal couple, just like Kate and Gerry, but I suppose you never know what goes on behind closed doors.

I am not compairing the two families and I am not saying that the 2 families are alike but everyone thought the Wests were normal if not alittle odd.

If she was an IVF child, so desperately wanted; how could a mother, or even father after the stresses associated with IVF harm her. Why raise the profile so high? If the Portuguese Police are so ineffectual, why not keep a low profile, wait for the fuss to blow over, go home?

If it turns out that these parents are implicated; what of their extended family and the twins? The other people with them on holiday?
With every new turn of events, it makes less and less sense.

What if her abduction was a part of a larger criminal conspirisy, could this new so called evidence have been planted to incriminate the family? Stranger things have happened.

I have just read this article

This is how it is being told across the world, I dont think Kate and Gerry stand a chance.

Unless somebody else confesses, it is going to be trial by media. The mud will stick

Re: Abduction in the Algarve

A day or so ago I read that what made them suspicious is that they had found some of Maddie's blood and it had barbituates in it and they suspected that her parents had given the children "something to help them sleep" while they were out at dinner... and they wondered if they had accidently killed her that way...

I'm not a parent so I find it hard to judge their behaviour that night but I suppose if you knew the chances of them waking up scared were slim it would mean that you wouldn't need to check on them very often?!?!

The strangest thing to me is that although I'm not yet a parent if I lost one I would want to keep the others so close to me and yet they were boarding private jets and flying off around europe without the other kids.

The whole thing is incredibly sad... 1 child has probably died and her sibling's lives have been forever altered...

One thing I cannot understand though is, that if this was my child that had been abducted I would be in such a stressed out situation, and hardly able to contain my tears whenever I spoke about her. Gerry and Kate must have such complete control over their emotions in public not to let just one tear fall and I find that hard to reconcile.

Maybe if you were pretending you would weep and wail etc?? I have no idea really, to leave children by themselves is just so so selfish, putting your needs first and yet I know plenty of people do this using a hotels "baby listening" service.

Lets hope the truth comes out
