Where else would she get a donkey ride certainly not on Oxford St or Trafalgar Square. Walking up the prom eating steak pudding and chips out of a styrofoam tray. Stopping off for a stick of Blackpool rock then catching a tram to the Pleasure Beach and riding the Big Dipper. Dipping her feet in the North Sea and perhaps catching the Illuminations.

They fired the Irish Sea after those Chinese workers who were cockling in Morecambe Bay, drowned.

In that case I agree with you, because Dundee is not in the South of Scotland and nowhere near the Trossachs!

I suppose if time was limited it would be tricky to decide which one out of Hartlepool and Middlesbrough to miss out. Hartlepool has a good nuclear power station but Middlesbrough does have the Blade Runner skyline.

Does Clovelly have sticks of rock and a pleasure beach
Southport you usually have to walk out about 2 miles to get to the IRISH sea but its in the North West and used to be part of Lancashire and not mentioned in the book either.

The one in NSW has sand, lol.

Picky picky picky

You definitely should go to Mablethorpe Town Beach then, it's got it all (according to their website).

About 20 years ago I said to Gus the Englander, "Coronation Street seems like a good show because it's about ordinary working people and their lives, not like American soap operas where you never see anyone doing anything but going to cocktail parties in their best clothes and stabbing each other in the back." And he said, "Yeah, it looks allright if you don't have to ****'n live there!
