the imperial is on the strip next to caesars but i believe its older and not as nice, but cheap as you can see, and for boys its just a bed that i won't remember sleeping in anyway so i'm not bothered. don't know about anywhere else sorry.

hotels:
imperial palace is a dump. but, its in a great location, its cheap. do not expect anything other than a bed though, not even tea/coffee in the room, even the tv was a 14" portable that looked similar to the one i had in my bedroom at 16yrs old and that was a long time ago.
it smells funny in the casino and i can only put this down to so many trailer dwellers being in the same place at the same time. i had no idea there were so many different makers of tractors until i saw all the t-shirts on the gorilla size backs of the women in here.
eats:
serendipity 3 for hangover breakfast. texas du brazil for buffet style meat gorge fest. avoid harrahs buffet.
clubs:
we went to 'pure' in ceasers which was very good and disappointing at the same time. we were doing the big night out thing, were all in suits and making an effort, thinking this 'super' club, apparently the best, was very high end. well it was, but mixed in were the plebs in jeans and cheap golf shirts. i forgot to some americans this is the height of 'making an effort' considering this ensemble does not have a) picture of tractor b) beer advert c) amusing one liner to do with pussy.
once inside very nice rooms, good mix of music, 4 drinks all shorts, single measure with mixer, $40. we went for the VIP bottle service at $500 for the 4 of us, then got screwed. this vip service gets you in past the queue, includes entrance fee and one bottle of spirits. you have the table all night but once the bottle is gone its $400 for another one, or you order individual drinks. we got shown to the rooftop and what was basically a stand for a pot plant substituting for our table. this was facing the road and near no one else. then it started to rain. i told the assistant exactly what i thought. just before we were thrown out my friends and i decided to have a walk around the club and come back in a bit to our so called table when the rain had stopped.
once in the club we realised that we were in, with no queue, no $30 cover each, and no details left upstairs at all. so we simply stayed downstairs and bought our drinks one at a time. probably cost us around the same, but we had the freedom now to move around and suited us better in the end.
casinos:
i realised i cannot gamble after the first hundred. then got pissed and forgot. another hundred went and my memory improved. i am now in the shit but what you gonna do.
if you must i thought the bellagio was by far the nicest. table limits are higher though, at our dump $5 min bets were the norm, this was $10 in most other places and realistically $20 on most tables i saw.
shopping:
las vegas premium outlets, $15 taxi ride from middle of strip. i got a hugo boss suit and dress shirt for $550. priced it up here same shirt and suit, $1420. all the stores you would expect here and worth a trip if you like your gear but not the price ticket.
old vegas/freemont st.
i liked it down here, worth a trip, had a nice easy feel to it and i would say it was worth a look, quiet on a thurs night though compared to the strip.
all in all we had a great time. if you are after a couple of days of non stop boozing, not getting in until at least 4am, blowing a load of cash and non stop full on adult entertainment tis the place to go.

mental note to self - don't pack Massey Ferguson, John Deere or "I like my guys like I like my deer - horny" t-shirts.
