It has been out a couple of months, so won't be around at cinemas for much longer (I think that it still is at cinemas, says something about how good it is), but catch it when it appears on Netflix or your preferred streaming service.
Indeed, I mentioned it in the 2019 movie thread... really excellent film and totally recommended for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

I'm not sure if I mentioned Parasite in the 2019 movie thread, but I was reading the news this morning and noticed that it won best picture at the Oscars last night. I know some of you philistines don't like movies with subtitles, but this is definitely worth a watch

I agree, wasn't too sure what to expect....thinking it maybe your run of the mill whodunnit movie, but I was very pleasantly surprised, its so much more than that, so many twists....and very clever well written twists! and a great cast too. Highly recommended!

Watched JoJo Rabbit the other day on a plane. Funny, Poignant, sad. Worth seeking out.
Also Terminator Dark Fate. Ok if you want to unhook your brain for a couple of hours but nothing more to it than that,

I went to the movies on Sunday and watched Guy Ritchie's new movie "The Gentlemen"

If you enjoyed Snatch & Lock stock, you will enjoy this. 9/10 from me.

Watched "Red Joan" last night. Based on a true story of a young woman who passed atomic secrets to the Russians in WW2, then finally got caught in 1999. It was OK, quite enjoyable way to pass an hour and a half.

Marriage Story - awesome
1917 - awesome

Keen to go and see Parasite next. I have a feeling it will be awesome.

No new films, but watched Midnight Cowboy again as it's been put on Netflix. Probably a good 30 years since I first saw it (which is crazy, because it predates then) and it's definitely a lot more psychedelic than I remembered. Also interesting to see John Voight as a young man, and flashes of his future daugher Angelina Jolie in his eyes. In fact on one scene, Dustin Hoffman even foreshadowed his performance in as Rain Man. Movie making has definitely come a long way in the decades since Midnight Cowboy was made. Anyway, was glad to see it again.

Don't I know it! Gosh you have a good memory Bristol. I quite liked the episode, but there was a bit of a 'here we go again' feeling. A new but familiar plotline about to be rolled out, and Carrie solving it all. Anyway, looking forward to finishing the series.

I've not seen it yet but you should take a look for the French equivalent Le Bureau des Légendes (The Bureau) Once I discovered it, I was hooked and watched every episode so far without watching anything else. Never done that before.

Season 5 comes soon so that may resurrect past seasons, otherwise the usual unofficial streaming sites.

Haven't heard of it. Will look out for it.
