I brought one up from the basement in its cardboard box....

We got the outside lights up on Sunday, before its freezing and I'm tied up with countless Santa parades. They wont be turned on till December though, its still too early.

A couple of weeks ago a van went past with a Christmas tree on the top. "wtf?" we remarked, like two people from the internet.

There's a Santa Claus in the mall here already.

I thought about putting up the Christmas lights this weekend as it was mainly bright, sunny if a little cold. But, Naah, I'll wait until December and choose a rainy/snowy/windy day to do it like I always do.

A house in the neighbourhood has two Christmas tree-esque trees either side of their garage - red ribbon on top and red pots, but yet to see them up close and in the dark (to check for lights!) so not sure if they're truly Christmas trees or not.

I don't know if this counts but 2 of my neighbours have turned their Christmas lights on already. I don't know if they did so purely to cheer themselves up after the recent snowfall.

We did our winterising over the long weekend. All that remains is the lights and tarps. We'll do that this weekend, or rather she will. I'll be busy getting ready for yet another conference that I didn't know I was going to until yesterday.

We had a short snow storm here a few minutes ago. This follows the 20 degrees we had yesterday afternoon

Seen a few. One house has its inflatables up already. will post a pic later.

The town has some wreaths around the lights and one restaurant has the trees up.

Really

My first parade (Brighton) is this Friday, and that seems indecently early to us. Still, they pay us to play so it all good.

The house of inflatables! They decorate for every occasion with these inflatable things and there will be more added.

Tarps for the front yard. Otherwise the grass and flower beds get covered in salted grit.

Quebec City. I wasn't even aware of the conference until a guy from the QC government got in touch with me assisting I attend. On further digging I found that loads of my clients will be there. I don't particularly want to go but I have no choice.

On the bright side, this is the hovel where I'm staying.

I'm told that Shopper's Drug Mart started playing Christmas music on November 1st but stopped after customer complaints.
