Bookies have the odds in Argentina's favour...

I expect Messi will win, but I'm for an all European final. As everybody knows, no European team has ever won a World Cup hosted in South America.

Oranje!!!

Hehe. I'm on the inside cheering for Netherlands, but in my pool at work, which has a pot of $200, I've gone with the bookies.

(I've gone with the bookies for every single match... the first round I was tied for last, but they went 100% through the Round of 16 and the quarters, and I'm now in 3rd...)

Not just the four in South America, Europe has not won any of the seven in the Americas.

The guy in the UK who only put a fiver on Germany winning 7-1 at 500-1 odds is probably kicking himself.

I stand corrected. Sort of.

Looking forward to the game as a neutral.

I just hope it's not ruined by Robben's flagrant cheating or a poor refereeing decision.

Any of the remaining teams can win it.

I'm staggered by the profundity of this insight.

Not meaning to correct, just expanding.

Its funny that Brazil are such good travelers, having won it in North America, Europe and Asia, but have failed twice at home.

It's the pressure and weight of expectation.

Every dog has it's day.

Or every hot dog as Oink puts it.

Germany 1 Argentina 0.
A game almost as boring as watching cricket. If that was world class soccer you can stick it where the sun don't shine.

Fantastic goal to win the game.

I think 80 percent of the games were dull once we passed the round of 16.

Also I would have given the Golden Ball to Muller or Maschareno. But I understand the sponsors have more clout when it comes to these things.

On to the Euro's and that will be an odd one as it's now 24 teams???? They do know how to ruin things these football governing bodies.

"World Cup 2014: Diego Maradona disagrees with Manuel Neuer award."

"Argentine legend Diego Maradona says Neuer did not deserve the World Cup Golden Glove award as it should have been awarded, instead, to himself for his efforts in the quarter-finals of the 1986 FIFA World Cup."

"I'd like to mount that on the bonnet of my Mini." said the portly, shiny-faced dwarf. Possibly.

Manuel Neuer, yesterday.
