Hi Everyone, my name is Claire, myself and my partner are looking at moving over to live in Malta but not sure what the employment is like over there for our trades, Im a secretary and also qualified in beauty therapy, my partner is a Building surveyor. We're also after advice on where best to live over there. any help would be much appreciated

Hi Littlepea, obviously jobs differ in requirements, language etc. you could make a start by looking on the "etc.mt" site for vacancies, your partner might find the "mepa mt" interesting, good hunting.

Regarding places to live, i would assume you would prefer the more lively areas of Malta, Sliema or St. Julians would probably be among a shortlist to look, they are very much up and coming places for new business. Do you know Malta at all? it is totally different from living in the U.K, you would probably have to expect to earn far less for your labour but the lifestyle in general makes up for it.
