of the scummy time share salespeople, a very good friend of mine and his wife recently came to Malta for a relaxing week, they stayed in a hotel in Qawra and enjoyed their daily walks to Buggiba square and generally watching the world go by, despite being warned not to fall for scratch card or airport gift vouchers they fell for an approach from a human looking cockroach and with promise of unresistable offers (and a bonus of 35 euros for himself) they decided to help him out and were whisked away by car to somewhere totally out of their island knowledge miles away, given a 2 hour hard sales pitch and eventually through lack of interest shown were dumped on the outskirts of the compex they were being sold to make their own way back, they were obviously frightened by this experience and it has done nothing for their desire to return, they are not the first and certainly won't be the last to fall for this, shame on these people and what they are doing to tourism.

Yes exactly the same happened to me many years ago.
Avoid them like the plague, they will happily take you to the complex but dump you just outside when no sale is made
