Hi
my fiance will move to Kota Damansara to study soon. I will finish my study in New Zealand and go to join him early next year. I'm studying tourism, so looking for work in a hotel or airport or any tourism operation in the city. I also have a barista qualification so could easily work in a cafe if necessary. I also have lots of experience in child care, being the eldest child of 13.
If anyone knows of any jobs or could offer me anything that would be amazing
Thank you
God bless

Just to say Welcome to the forum
I've no idea where you'd start looking for employment in those areas. Obviously you will need a work visa. Maybe others can point you in the right direction.

Hi Olivia
I've tried helping couple of friends from the UK get work here, and I've noticed some quirks.
If expats try and apply for jobs that are cafe type of work, or floor sales in stores, or serving in restaurants, then Malaysians tend to find it 'below' that person! These kind of jobs seem not right for expats in their eyes, as expats tend to go into higher positions and managerial, or executive etc.
I'd advise applying at hotels but for senior positions. Especially larger brands. I did training at Melia hotels, which is a Spanish company, and their higher positions are held by Europeans.
Hope this helps.
