Well done. I guess you must have got the MM2H visa then. Double congratulations.

Our Thai house has been on the market for ages but thankfully in a strong Asian currency so not a problem, just a minor irritation, and makes for a holiday home (albeit a bit of an expensive one :unsure:) but t'ak apa.

But we're all a bit off topic here :(

Troubadour, yup there's a fair few happy folks here, but some don't take to it. Just like anywhere really. I remember one Aussie guy on another forum some time ago giving up with Penang and going back to Australia. He reckoned there wasn't enough to do here..... but I guess it depends what you like doing, doesn't it.

I could quite happily exchange Perth for Penang or Pahang or Malacca and not look back ...although would probaly spend part of the time in Europe (summer) at least in the early stages before deciding whether to remain full time.
