Induction..now your talking...but...Mrs S believes that the only way to get correct wok temperature is with a big gas flame. What to do lah:blink:

You can get really hot heat fast on induction just like gas but without the 'kitchen heat'. It's clean and efficient, only prob is initial cost.

Anyhows.... what's Mrs Strider doing slaving over a hot wok? Can get all this kinda food locally. Set her free hehe :D Get on down to the foodcourt.

fyi ... I've heard that getting a higher power a/c is a one-time expense, but compensated with lower electric bills because it cools the room faster and remains on for shorter periods ... haven't tried it though.

I've heard the opposite. Smaller a/c blasting full out is more efficient.

And inverter is even more efficient.

I'd really like to know the actual score though.

Well we turned the aircon off this month, except for emergencies (just back from gym, etc!) and got the bill today - it was half last month's. And we have brand new ducted aircon, so i'm not that impressed with its efficiency!
