does somebody know the present rules of importing/exporting Ringgit in cash?
some say 1,000 RM some 10,000RM or 10,000 US in equivalent,
e.g.

Up to MYR 10,000 in domestic currency may be imported/exported to and from Malaysia freely. Above this sum, permission must be obtained from the COFE. Foreign currency may also be freely exported and imported by residents and non-residents without restriction.
in contrary 1,000RM:

and the CUSTOMS DECLARATION

does it mean to declare an amount above 1,000 RM or is it the limit in cash?
any help welcome.

Hi SteveMY,
I came in with 10k RM in March and decided to declare it, at the customs desk, I was told not neccesary unless if i was carying 10k USD or more
