Moving to KL
We are a Scottish couple preparing to move to KL from Texas and we are doing our first house hunting. We have 2 dogs who need some space. We have a realtor who is helping but we would appreciate any advice about good neighbourhoods to live.

Re: Moving to KL
Hi there, not sure what your circumstances are? but I'm assuming you don't have any kids that will be coming with you?
If that's the case then I suggest you maybe look at areas that are close to where your husband will be working as KL traffic is pretty chaotic, more so at peak times.
I think you will be better off living in a landed property rather than condo as you have dogs.
Some of the expat areas are Mont Kiara, Bangsar and Damansara. Your agent in KL should be able to advise on best areas to live in.
Good luck with your search.

Re: Moving to KL
Hi Maz01,
I moved here in Dec 2013 with 2 dogs and 4 cats in tow(!) and found a lovely detached house with big garden in Bukit Damansara - a peaceful and leafy suburb near Mont Kiara and Bangsar (each are approx 5km away), and about 10mins from KLCC. As a very general rule, if you live in a gated community/housing development you will probably find that there are restrictions on pets, especially dogs. If you live in a detached house (called 'bungalows' here, even though they're not single storey), you should be fine :-)
