Help
Hi All,
I am new to this and have read through the other threads some have helped but not all of my questions have been answered i'm hoping someone out there can help!!
Myself and my two children (aged 11 & 23) are thinking of relocating from the uk, My son will still be at school so i was wondering if someone could give me an idea of the fees that are involved in putting him through education .
Myself and my daughter are in the process of looking for jobs over there so we are not sure of our salaries at the moment however we will have money in the bank and a house in the uk that we will be renting out.
We are unsure on which area would be best for us to live we don't want anything to flash we just want out of the uk for a fresh start. We have been on holiday to KL and Penang and really enjoyed them but obviously it is different living over there we just need some insight into what life is really like over there.
Would be grateful for any information

Re: Help
Hi, I'll get the Mods to move your thread to Malaysia forum. You'll get more replies on there. I'll put a reply later or tomorrow. All the best.

Re: Help
As a non Malaysian you won't have access to the local schools (which are taught in Bahasa anyway). This leaves you with the options of local private schools and International schools. I can only provide some examples of fee's of international schools in KL. The British schools here range from around 36kRM a year for Reception and rise from there. You will also need to pay a non refundable entrance fee of 20kRM and then a deposit equivalent to one terms fee's (min 12Krm) which is refundable under certain circumstances. There are other international schools in KL (such as ELC and Australian school) which are a bit cheaper.
I suggest you figure out the areas you are interested in and then google for schools. Most list requirements and fee's on their websites.

Re: Help
Have you got any specific questions, other than schooling? If so, post on here. Quite a few folks on this board can advise you.
**By the way, any budding writers out there who want to write something informative for Brits, have a good look through the Articles section. I only did it as (a) there didn't seem to be much at all on Malaysia in the articles section and (b) as an experiment to see if I could write an article.

Hi there, you can enroll your children in international school here. Garden International, Alice Smith, Mont Kiara International.
