Heading to Penang next week for a couple of days, does anyone know if there is a bakery there that does an Aussie style meat pie, OK or an English style, and Pork pies, plus a restaurant that does good Fish and Chips like the old dart.
Thanks
Have a great day

You're spending 2 or 3 days in Penang and you want to eat traditional British and Aussie food? Serious? What a waste.
Blue Reef at Straits Quay famous for their fish and chips and nice views of the marina.
No Eyed Deer in Fettes Park does a not bad Fish n Chips but no malt vinegar.
I am told that Dome at Straits Quay does a huge fish n chips.
Aussie meat pie? Wouldn't know one if I fell over one.

AusMex, you're in Malacca aren't you.
Have you tried the Wok and Pan there for fish and chips.
It's not brilliant but it's not bad.
Of course the big hunk of Lamb Shank, akchewlee lamb shoulder I reckon in 'Bai Zan' slow cooked and then deep fried with a rosemary and mint gravy is sufficient for 4 big eaters and iirc only MYR50.

85% of my meals are Asian, and have been for the last 8 years. Aussie meat pies fall into the other 15% which is all the more reason for the occasional craving!

That's fair enough
Well I've got no idea where you find Aussie meat pies here. There may be somewhere. Let's hope someone will post eh.
