Well, typical with the way things seem to be going for me at the moment, looked at Air Malaysia last night on internet just before I went to sleep. Return flights for £519. Thought I'll book tomorrow as I was dog tired. And today......deal has finished!!! *&@% it!!!! My own stupid fault as it said on the site "Offer valid until 29 Jan", like an idiot I assumed that would mean it would still be there today. It seems what they meant is valid until 00:01 on 29/1/11!!! Did ring up the booking line but may as well have been speaking to the wall. Hope the people who fly the planes for them are better!!

Quite a few other flights but I'd rather go direct and don't fancy a bleedin' 10 hour stop over in Dubai, or anywhere else for that matter. Not sure what Air Malaysia is like but sometimes you really feel that things conspire to &*%$ you off!!! A day of trawling for flights I suppose, or just say stuff it until Air Malaysia have another deal on.

Thanks, will keep an eye on them. Only about £50 difference between them and Air Malaysia and Stanstead is not so easy to get to. Suppose it doesn't matter when I come out really, no real rush. Might just wait for AM to have another deal. Only thing is the house looks after itself more in the winter, no grass to cut!!!!! Pity though, if the AM site had said "Offer valid until midnight on 28th" I would have booked, tired or not. It did say the 29th though, just not implemented in the way I expected it (e.g. at 00:01 on 29th it's gone).

The stop over in dubai is only 3 hrs. I have same thought process before of flying direct. However I found Emirates the most reliable in all aspects.

Thanks, it's still hassle I'd rather avoid. I sorted a return flight out with Emerald Travel in the end, £600 return with Malaysia Airlines direct from Heathrow. Good enough for me.
