Default EPF self contribution for Malaysians?

Hello, been a while since I was here.

I have a question regarding EPF. My partner, a Malaysian citizen, is leaving her job soon, and she is concerned about the gaps in EPF. Does anyone know if it can be topped up on your own? (A bit like topping up your own NI in the UK).

A google search of 'EPF Self Contribution' brings up a 'KWSP' website page, and it states some rules which to me, appear to contradict each other.

If she leaves halfway through the month, her EPF will be half the usual, and she is concerned it will look bad in the future when it comes to taking out a loan to buy a house for example.

If anyone knows if it can be topped up by yourself, please let me know, thanks!
