All those BBC Newsreaders etc etc who have been softening their accent for years are now returning to heavy regional accents.

Big decision to be honest but all my clients are Asian and difficult to understand me when I am giving advice, easier for me to learn to speak slower and more clearly.

I don't intend to lose my accent just be Able to enunciate clearly.

Any help would be appreciated

No need for elocution lessons. Just add -lah to random words within every sentence and you will be understood perfectly.

Whilst you are searching for a tutor, you might like to try some online lessons on YouTube. Here's an example:

The Queen's English: Elocution Lessons

You'll sound like the Queen in no time! But then has the Queen become frightfully common?

I suggest asking The British Council (Malaysia) to point you in the direction of a private tutor.
www.britishcouncil.my

Good luck

sadly the British Council only provide English language courses as in reading and writing and conversation which is no help to me. Think I need to find a specialist.

A speech pahologist specialising in accent reduction should be able to help. Telehealth (Skype) is possible, so that might help your search?
