Has anyone gone through the process of applying to work on an MM2H visa? Details seem scarce, need to be over 50 and ask for permission? Only certain roles eligible? Curious if anyone has experience.

I haven't gone through the process myself, but a friend has a work permit even though he's on MM2H. It is not the MM2H holder who applies for the work permit. It is the company that wants to hire the MM2H holder as employee. That company has to jump through various hoops before they get permission from the government. For example: the company has to show evidence that they tried to hire a Malaysian employee but were unsuccessful, and have to demonstrate that the MM2H holder has the right qualifications for the job (I forgot the other requirements). Even then, the company is only allowed to give a job contract for maximum 20 hours/week.
