I dunno, but isn't there some kind of day of towards the end of December?

Reconnecting via FB with a jr high/high school classmate. Her husband, also a classmate, started out with IBM over 30 years ago. They've left New England and are now in TN.

If he partook liberally in the IBM employee stock option plan he no doubt has a nice retirement nest egg. I have two cousins that worked for IBM, starting in the 60's, and they made a bundle on IBM stock options. They retired quite well to do. Of course, back then IBM shares were splitting 2 to 1, 3 to 1 and even 5 to 1 quite frequently.

BBC commentary on the men's Wimbledon final - where nobody said anything at all for about 80% of the time so we could watch the tennis and get as much of the sounds of Wimbledon as possible. Unlike US commentary where we would have been constantly barraged not only by unceasing chatter but endless details of the childhoods and personal lives of the players.

Renault and Ford have joined forces to create the perfect small car for women.

Mixing the Renault 'Clio' and the Ford 'Taurus' they have designed the 'Clitaurus'. It comes in pink, and the average male car thief won't be able to find it - let alone turn it on - even if someone tells him where it is and how to do it.

Rumour has it though, it can be a real bitch to start in the morning! Some have reported that on cold winter mornings, when you really need it, you can't get it to turn over.

New models are initially fun to own, but very costly to maintain, and horribly expensive to get rid of. Used models may initially appear to have curb appeal and a low price, but eventually have an increased appetite for fuel, and the curb weight typically increases with age. Manufacturers are baffled as to how the size of the boot increases, but say that the paint may just make it LOOK bigger.

This model is not expected to reach collector status. Most owners find it is best to lease one, and replace when it becomes troublesome.
