The Little (13 years old) Lion.

Me (arriving home): Did you make yourself something for lunch?

Him (doing something or other): Yes

Me: What did you have?

Him: Just some math

My teenager has clearly perfected the art of tuning out his mother. You have to love 'em.

Oh aye, ours has been at that for a while. Enjoy.

The next step, it would seem, is running around after girls. I am starting to wish we hadn't let him watch The Inbetweeners now

Mine comes home with hearts drawn on his hand - not by him.

He's not quite ready to act on it yet though. That is a parental joy yet to come.

The good news is that the girls are waaaaaay more clever than the boys at that age.

Well, all except the one that actually agreed to go out with my son. Presumably she has no sense of smell and the patience of a saint ...

I doubt it's a long term commitment.

Men need to be at least 35 before they hit their stride anyway.

You do.

A theory squarely proved via empirical research.

I don't blame either of them. I've been tuning both of you out for ages.
