I have lived through some of the best new music ever. I wear it as a badge of pride (even if I'm a little ragged round the edges).
Without telling anyone the whole actual truth of course.

I'm exceptionally jealous. You probably even got to see Pink Floyd live as well. One of my all time top 5 favourite bands. Sadly, I was only 15 when Pink Floyd did their final shows, though and I was not able to see them. PULSE is still my favourite live CD/DVD and this is coming from someone who owns Queen Live At Wembley as well ...
Not that the 90s weren't a half decent decade to come of age - we had some great bands then, too.

Most of my Floyd listening happened lying on the floor in a dark room (candlelight only) with the record on as loud as it could go and, um, possibly assisted by some consciousness-altering substances. It seemed like the thing to do at the time.

Strangely, I saw them live in Mexico City.

You try playing drums after that, though, the timing tends to suffer somewhat.

It was in 77, she was ... oh nevermind. Old enough to smoke pot.

I could have gone to see them,... age was not far off.. Just a couple of years later and I would have found them (and did).
Whilst Lion's crowd was hangin out smoking pot and listening to Floyd, mine were round the back huffing bostik out of a walkers crisps bag and pretending to like Sham 69.
Ahh.. growing up.

(Biggest musical regrets.. never saw Floyd, never saw Talking Heads, DID see Led Zeppelin).
