I went to an awards dinner tonight and won an award for distinguished service.

It was an industry "do", for an industry I only joined last year - in fact I went to last years awards dinner, knowing no one, a colleague who was supposed to do intros, couldn't make it at the last minute. So I rolled up solo.

I year later I win this award.

Honored and humbled.

Reading these 'complaints' about the BBC, thes are complaints that have been, in some cases apparently several pages which seem to be mainly from the same person, 'dealt with'.

People watching a performance of Hamlet in the Calais refugee camps.

A reminder that these are people, not just "the migrant problem."

Oh god, they're making them watch Shakespeare now? Haven't the poor refugees suffered enough?

Maybe they will learn English from watching it.

That would be cool.

And by cool I mean hilarious.

That would be excellent. Hundreds of thousands of people speaking in Elizabethan English.
