He's pretty great. :)

Be glad once he loses the shark teeth and stops biting everything/body though.

Meet our new English Setter puppy, Benji!

He is 4.5 months old and is a purebred puppy. He is a crazy cyclone of zoomies, chewing on toys, and just what we now refer to as 'Hurricane Benji'! We thought our German Shorthaired Pointer was crazy as a puppy, but dang this puppy is showing us otherwise! We have talked about a second dog but we never had the time due to work schedules. However, we are both working from home for the foreseeable future and I won't be back in my work building until August, so now seemed the perfect time to bring him into our lives!

The dog probably couldn't carry off full denim though.

It was the mauve t-shirt that made all the difference!

After trying the new hair clippers on my husband a few days ago...it gave me enough confidence to use them on Ellie. Not bad if I do say so myself.

We think so too! We noticed a few more tiny spots under his white coat too, so should show through eventually.

Macliam and LiW, that was part of my reason for choosing him! I already have a pointer who racks up serious miles with me already (we do between 25-35 miles a week together, I do around 40-50 miles total a week). Benji's parents are on the smaller end of setters which means they may not be as fast as a pointer, but they can cover more ground and last longer. Which is perfectly what I was looking for! My GSP is better and faster over short distances due to power and speed (up to 6 miles). This boy should, based on heritage, maintain a consistent and steady pace over longer ground coverage which works for me as my high mile run buddy (once I get approval from the vet, probably around next fall)!

Did your husband like his new ruff around the neck and fluffy tail look?

re: The Puppy Dog Thread.

In January I realised it had been 2 years since my Jack had died and my 6 year old would still cry because she missed him and I missed having a big dog around. He was a rescue but looked like a flat-coated retriever. I told the wife that if we could find another dog like him we should consider it, pretty much the next week this picture appeared on petfinder at a rescue a couple of hours away
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...98a8c44cd1.jpg
The woman there said that the owner of the parents refuses to get their lab and golden retriever parents fixed and would just shoot any puppies he can't get rid of so the guys son started taking them to her rescue for re-housing. I'm not too sure how accurate that is though as I would've thought that would be highly illegal and she would've reported them to the police. Either way we went and got him right away. He's about 6 months old now and along with my, previously well behaved and should know better, Chihuahua/Yorkie mix has destroyed 3 dog beds, 2 pairs of glasses and countless items of clothing. I forgot Jack was a pain in the arse when we got him too so they're very much alike. Meet Lemon.

What an adorable puppy! Much happiness to the whole family. PS Be careful -- when one of mine was a puppy, he graduated from chewing eyeglasses to cell phones!

Elaine came into the pub after work, and I noticed she was covering her mouth with her hand every time she spoke. I asked what the matter was and she replied, "The effig dog ate my teeth!"

Looks like Stanlyy and Mickey from the Cat thread could have a rare old time......
My two are not so different, but SWMBO never catches anything but eyes staring out from the back of their "cave".
Each night the conversation goes "How are the girls?".... "Sleeping". All's well with the world.

.... So, last Spring - after a 2 year absence from losing Tarka, I woke up one morning and said, "sod it" and decided to come home that day with ...... her.
Everybody, meet "Isla" ...... (or as I coin, a body who likes to be surrounded by water). She is now 1 year 1 mo and is about 70lbs.
