She's only feeding five and has eight nipples so he's not being pushed out, just can't be bothered. Gets bored after a few minutes and wanders off. If he survives it'll be a miracle but he's very energetic and strong. He tried climbing my leg yesterday. He's only 12 days old, he's really not supposed to be doing this stuff especially when he's not bloody eating! Got some different formula today so he may prefer that. :

Well, you're doing everything that can be done.
Sounds like a kitten with ADHD.

Sad to say Stanley left us this afternoon. He fought to the last but his little body just gave up. Ava (Mumma) sat next to me whilst I held him, finally gave him a face lick, me a head butt and went and sat with the other babies.

I reckon the fact that Ava gave you a head butt is her way of saying that you did good...

Nature’s way.
A friend of mine’s Dalmatian had pups. The runt of the litter wouldn’t feed and the mum keep taking it outside, covering it with leaves etc and leaving it. Each time he followed her and brought the pup back indoors. Eventually the little pup went to the kennels in the sky.
The rest of the pups were film stars...they were used in Disney’s 101 Dalmatian film staring Glen Close.

Was really hoping he'd beat the odds.
