Degrees are a plague. I mean, they are good for some things but in many cases they've become an unnecessary barrier to people who could absolutely learn the necessary on the job.

Indeed. Obviously some jobs a degree is necessary since well you wouldn't want a doctor who never went to medical school the degree obsession companies have for jobs that end of the day don't require one likely keeps a fair amount of people from reaching their full potential.

I don't understand how this is being adjudicated. Is someone going around with a tape measure checking on bear waistlines?
Or is it a case of "OK Bruin, if you could step onto the scales here for a moment"?

The reason the winner is so fat is that he ate everybody who tried to do either of those things.
