You're gonna need a bigger coat in that weather.

Quite mild by Chicago standards. But it's March, the thaw is on.

Yesterday was bitterly cold...-10C plus wind chill. Around 10C today and gorgeous. Had to take my coat off while out walking. Thermometer showing 30C in the sun.

Who's had our snow?

A few weeks ago I read in the newspaper what snow we'd had so far in the city compared to what it would normally be by that date.

It's not snowed since then and we don't have much, if any, in the forecast. But even if we get a decent sized storm instead of the 5cm predicted we'll have escaped with maybe a little more than half the norm.

Has anyone had more than usual? You can keep it by the way.

Was out for a walk in a t shirt yesterday (not just a t shirt, in case anyone's worried, jeans too). Of course it could easily snow next week.

We didn't get our January thaw this year but it didn't matter too much as we've had much less snow than usual.

But after snow disappearing to the point there were just a few little spots we have had our usual "but it had almost all gone" complaint because there's now a blanket of snow again and blizzard like conditions. :(

The woman doing the weather on the radio this morning signed off with "there's still more weather to come."

wish we could get some decent rain. They are taiking drought here already. That’s coming off of a super dry Fall / Winter too.
