I can deal with cold, but heat isn't my cup of tea.

At least it cools off nicely at night here, nothing worse then being hot when trying to sleep. Where my mom lives its hot at night still in summer, never cools down to a reasonable temperature.

The heat wave season is almost over.

No thanks Mr Melty. I'm of an age where I can sweat buckets even when facing an open fridge freezer door. My thermostat broke.

I'm with you there! High today forecast at 92F, heat index 106F. 10 minutes outside and I can wring out the sweat in my shirt and it's been that way for a good while now.

Yes it does cool off rather nicely overnight, my guess is being 1,100 foot elevation helps it cool off at night even if hot during the day.

Supposed to be 97 for the high today, but not sure if we will make it, a couple more hours though to hit the high expected.

Oh so close, didn't quite make it to 97F at the airport, but it did get to 96F, but now its cooling off and down to 91F, by 10pm it will be cool outside and can open the windows for fresh air to sleep.

We decided to go out on the trike for an evening ride. Duh..stupid mistake. It was still way too hot but it did get us out the house for a couple of hours even if we did come home drenched in sweat!

Another b***** thunderstorm, just 12 hours after the last one and that was only a few hours after the previous one.

Similar here, just had the fifth storm in three days. Temperature is comfortable this evening, ± 24C.

I assume its likely a bit humid there as well?

I can deal with dry heat, I'll take 95 and 25% humidity over 95 and humid any day, we are at 1,100 feet elevation so I imagine that plays a role in the cooling off at night. I am still amazed that the overnight low and daytime high is like 30 degree difference, 95 for the high today, 64 expected to be the overnight low.

Usually by 10pm its down to 76/77 or so.
