At the moment it is safe to go into the garden, another few weeks and the &*^*&^*& mosquitoes will be out and I shall get bitten to glory

You're guessing right! SWMBO sent me the picture.

How these guys survive 8 months drought and temperatures of 40C amazes me......

Yeah, I generally have the same issue, but it seems this year I'll be spared that thanks to COVID-19.....

Also my cosseted bay tree too, now outside after spending the winter in the lounge along with the rosemary. The amaryllis, aloes and Christmas cactus are still inside until we are frost free, then they will go out for their annual summer period of neglect. They seem to do well on it - these were my blooms this past winter.

A little rain brought the roses out in Portugal

They are old-fashioned roses collected "semi-wid" from abandoned montes in the area...... they smell of pure Turkish delight!!

Yes. It really comes home to you when you're flying back from somewhere and you see that you've finally hit Australian airspace and then realise you have about another five hours of flying time! We used to have a user world map pinned at the top of the Lounge list, not sure when we lost it but it was quite interesting.
