The great thing about being an expat, is having a fall back team.

Screw that. They'd be unbearable if they won.

They can still qualify, and if they do, I'll be happy. But they don't deserve to go through over Uruguay. Although right now Costa Rica can get that second place, even if they lose to England (and Italy). Not sure I can get myself worked up enough to cheer them on in that game.

I'll be honest, I feel a complete and utter bellend for that previous post LOL. In all seriousness though, there was no way Suarez was 100%. They'd have probably put another 2 or 3 past us had he been.

Oddly my fall back team is Germany. Direct family born there and lived there as a kid.

I'll just have to make do....

Other than the US, mine is Germany too. Always has been. I just like the way they play football.

**** the Italians, the cnuts. They only thing they're good for right now is beating Costa Rica and Uruguay to maintain England's mathematical glimmer of hope

Come on ORANJE!! (and it has nothing to do with the ever growing Holland-United connection...).

I have a couple of very good Dutch mates, and you won't find people more passionate about football than those in Holland.

If the Netherlands aren't in the top four I will be surprised.

I still want Germany to win, myself.

Yeah, I always like Germany (except when they're beating England obviously), and I just happened to be born there as well. Plus, I've never met a German I didn't like.

As for Italy, well I'm sure they can beat Costa Rica and Uruguay, but England will still f'ck it up against Costa Rica, because that's just what we do.
