We all know what happened next -

Anyway, quite a few years later my old man and me had been to Ayr races and done not too bad, and stopped in at Ally's pub on the way home. My da' started to take the piss a bit about what he said and Ally told us it was the only thing he could think to quiet the team down as half of them were pissed and getting leery. Apparently it was one giant piss-up from the moment they left 'til the time they got back.

Didn't one of the players fail a drugs test? Willie someone...probably alcohol poisoning!!

Funny story - I vaguely remember the Scotland song from 78 - Rod Stewart?

Yep. Wille Johnston - a nasty little bastard, who if I remember correctly was escorted off the pitch at gun-point after winding up some fans.

The song was 'We're on the march with Ally's Army" by Andy Cameron. An absolute load of shite, but made him a fortune.

As opposed to all those great football songs of years gone by? With the exception of the New Order one I can't think of any decent football songs.

When was "Ole, Ole, Ole" - I seem to remember that one too....

So best we just change your username to 'Mark' then!
I am still hopeful, I would have preffered to have seen us with a settled starting 11, rather than picking the in form players each time.

'Three Lions' from Euro 96 - Baddiel, Skinner & Ian Broudie from The Lightning Seeds. Best song for my money.

Shite indeed. Almost as bad as the patronising Del Amitri "Don't come home too soon" you have to get there before you can come home
