Funny how the 'on the road game' always seems to be the home fixture for Saints against the pies nice little pay day going elsewhere other than club coffers

Sorry guys but personally I dont like the millenuim Magic round - I think its an extra round of fixtures we dont really need which isn't helping GB (yes I know there are other/better reasons why GB are crap) our boys play far more games then the NRL then we expect them to go on tour

Yeah i know what your saying Johno, but if it can give the game a leg-up in Wales im for it,theres enough talent there to have a top level side a couple of years down the line.
Dont know how many games the super league sides play ccompared to nrl (i know there are 27 rounds super league-25 rounds nrl, obviously the byes come into play as well),but the top Aussie players are playing 3 games of state of origin, and a test against NZ as well.Dont know where our boys can get that intensity from, but if another game of Saints-pies,leeds-bulls is the closest they can get,so be it.
Did you watch City v Country last night?,probably the poorest game so far this season?

Our boys play Challenge cup games as well - How bout we get rid off the extra league games and play the Roses game (Origin)in Wales??? I believe the Celtic Crusaders will be fast tracked into Super League in 2009 but will have to wait and see - Will that mean we then go to Scotland for Murryfield Magic weekend???

I watched the 1st half - not sure what it achieves for NSW selectors as the players dont have long enough to train together and it just looks awkward on the pitch - and there is always the risk of big players getting injured

Doesn't matter what NSW do the mighty maroons will be ready for them

Unfortunately this was dumped after a couple of seasons,i would have liked to see them stick with it a bit longer and build some momentum with it,but this is the RFL managemnent we are talking about here, although to be fair i dont think most of the clubs were that keen their players having extra games. How about a GB/England side against a overseas 13 playing in SL,again i suppose insurance issues and clubs not co-operating would scupper that. How did we use to manage when the regal tropy, john player etc cups were around as well ??

Thydney does have a point ...I'm sure that all the clubs involved will make a profit ( put it this way ...if I was in the UK I would have a ticket to both days games ....it is a superb offer ) but for Saints and Bradford it may be less that they would have normally expected ....still Saints can always revamp the "Bovril" shed next year .......
