I love how he's stating there should be limits on how long people can hold positions in Fifa now. That's like hogging the comfiest chair in the house then taking a shit on it before going out to the pub.

My supported club Arsenal will:

. Make one signing too few in the Summer
. Start off brightly, fade and re emerge to challenge for 2nd.
., Since the FA Cup is now the Emirates FA Cup, win it for the next 3 years, because the sponsors agree it goes really well with the shirt and stadium sponsorship.
. Be celebrating yet another St. Totteringham's Day and laugh just a little at Spurs as they self implode.
. Lose in the last 16 of the UCL on away goals, fans will feel robbed and reflect on if only first leg had been better.

It's almost like Arsenal are happy to accept being nearly men and mediocrity because they can't / won't sack Wenger for nostalgic reasons. Klopp is available in January. I mean, that's a gift I ever saw one.

This made me chuckle:

Jack Wilshere charged by FA following explicit anti-Tottenham chant during Arsenal FA Cup victory parade | Daily Mail Online

I didn't realise Jack Wheelchair still played football.

Should have been fired like the Arsenal fan in this clip was:

Oh I know, I read that article yesterday. He really is the most unlikeable, grade A plum.

I mean what has he ever done for football?
1. Got injured
2. Smoked

I disagree with Wilshere making that comment, even more so in a public setting like that. He should be fined by the club. But, how far does the FA's authority to impose fines and suspensions go? This happen outside of an FA-sanctioned event during their parade. Players get fined for stuff off the football pitch yet if hundreds of fans during a match chant the same thing, no action is taken. Either it's offensive (in which case deal with everyone doing it) or it isn't.

I understand that players are held to a higher standard as fans, but where do the FA stop? Can/will they fine a player on holiday? I can understand to a point that the FA logo was on his uniform and that he would be classed as on-duty if football was a normal job, but surely this is a matter for his employer (Arsenal)?

How many football players in the UK have been fired/contract cancelled by their clubs?

Personally, I don't mind players showing a bit of passion and singing anti-rival chants. GNev used to do it all the time. The issue I guess is the bad language - but I don't mind a player nailing his colours to he mast.
