England Vs (Well, Themselves Really)
I don't have high hopes today. Maybe it's a good thing - the Premier League is killing English talent allegedly. Maybe something needs to be done to understand why supposedly great players are actually unbelievably shit when asked to play without their amazing European and African teammates doing all the talented stuff around them.
Still, I have done some investigative work and found some of the coach crib sheets that Fabio Capello has handed out to under performing Wayne Rooney to get him motivated for today. http://www.b3tards.com/u/037e58b9e05...neytactics.jpg |

Re: England Vs (Well, Themselves Really)
Imagine....the football elites of the English FA and Team Capello gathering and saying,
"We need a miracle, a saviour, a wonder striker. Someone like.....Jermaine Defoe." "I like your thinking." "Someone who has scored maybe three England goals ever." "We can't possibly lose now. You're a genius!" |
Re: England Vs (Well, Themselves Really)
England are reported to be getting a new coach ... it's picking them up at Heathrow on Thursday.
I'm hoping they lose today, if only to show them up for the overpaid arseholes that they are. If they do win, we'll be back to "the best team in the world" bullshit that normally happens after a win. :sneaky: |
Re: England Vs (Well, Themselves Really)
We're paying 6,000,000 quid a year to an Italian to teach the long ball game.
we do appear to have learned how to pass this week. |
Re: England Vs (Well, Themselves Really)
I like this stat:
Defoe and Rooney have played together 9 times and never scored in those games. Oh good. Oh he just scored. I'll shut up then. |

Re: England Vs (Well, Themselves Really)
Just as England won, the U.S. scored in extra time against Algeria to avoid a tie and win top spot in group. We both make it through.

Re: England Vs (Well, Themselves Really)
There has to be something physically wrong with Rooney. Three consecutive lack lustre performances are not like him. Comments any one. The team itself played much better but are still not convincing enough for me. Hopefully will improve now that they have got the qualifying rounds out of the way.
