Anybody here think that Harry Winks of Spurs should have picked number 40 for his team shirt?

Ebbsfleet Utd just signed Yado Mambo but gave him the number 18 shirt. He's a defender surely they should have given him the number 5 shirt.

Perhaps Vincent Kompany could have the number 2 shirt.

Come on Sweden.

Cheatin', bought b'stard of a "ref".

VAR in action for a shit meaningless friendly like England-Germany, but not in sight for a World Cup Qualifying play-off in Belfast, during which the useless runt fails to send off Schar for trying to cut Stuart Dallas in two (simply because it happened in the first 5 minutes) and then awards a 'penalty' against Evans for a ball that is lashed against the BACK of his shoulder from 3 yards away.... welcome to the world of FIFA (who just happen to be based in.... Switzerland (along with their mates in UEFA).

As for the state of the pitch in Basel yesterday, I've seen better playing surfaces on a kids' school playground...a joke.

Premier League, come back, all is forgiven....

Now imagine him reffing a Citeh and Chelski game. Which brown envelope would he take?

FFS Jones possible hamstring injury in the friendly. This should now put him with more minutes on the treatment table than on the pitch.

It is clearly spelt Iain!

Can't see anything 'great' about it...very sad way for a legend like Buffon to finish his career; the manager is an idiot, leaving Insigne kicking his heels on the bench when they were desperate for goals.... like with NI, time for a huge overhaul (the difference being the Italians have plenty of talent coming through).

I'd rather have seen the Italians in Russia next summer than Sweden, who are like their Volvo cars...boringly functional, no excitement whatsoever.

Get your money on a Germany-Brazil final now...only France can prevent it happening.

Always 2 sides. Sure the Italians were in a tough group with Spain and finished 2nd so had to play a qualifier against Sweden. 2 x games no goals.
Now Im betting if they had played NI instead of Sweden with the same result would you still sooner see the Italians in the WC rather than NI? I think I know the answer;)

I feel sorry for you, I really do, to lose to a shitty penalty is hateful.

The least they could have done is given you 180 minutes to try and score a goal.

Don't give a toss about the Eyties being in it if I'm honest. Shame the Argies managed to squeeze in too.

I'm with you on this one. I know the Italian side is not always that popular with neutrals, but I think it is awful to think of a WC without Italy and such a shame for a player like Buffon (and Chiellini and De Rossi), who has given so much to the national game, to retire on the back of this. Not sure what has happened to the team, I think maybe players who are old and tired and no young talent being brought through? The manager sounds a bit of an arse by all accounts.

I can only imagine in the back lash in Italy and the headlines today. Not good, eh Mike?
