Bissaka set to sign for United for initial $45m. It's a little pricey, but a decent signing never the less. We desperately needed a RB.

(along with a new 'rest of the squad')

If he works out then 45M is a bargain. Plus you're only paying him 80K a week AND you didn't let Palace off the hook for the 25% of Zaha transfer clause. Of course he's going to struggle regardless unless you do something about your center backs.

I don't know how cash rich but don't really pay a great deal of attention to the chatter around the royals here. It's sort of safer not to.

A great turn around and profit for Lyon.

Having been capped 6 times by France I'm sure he is decent and he plays in the position we need to get someone in the most.

I expect 4 or 5 more signings before the window is done. Two full backs. A Striker and if Erikson moves on a replacement.
Is Alderweireld staying then? I'd have thought with his release clause being active now someone would snap him up considering the prices being quoted for Harry Maguire.

Good to finally get AWB 'over the line'... as usual, it took Edward twice as long to get a deal done as any other (competent) CEO.... nothing will improve until the Gimps and Woodward are gone; that much is brilliantly clear by now.

Why would be allow a $75m player to leave on loan for 2 years for $10m?

The stadium pays for itself.

They're spending the 100 million Champions League prize money plus what ever comes in from player sales. We can now offer top performers up to 200,000 gbp per week so will retain more players and attract more.

Another one is on the way here. Granted it is one for the future:

Tottenham were open to a bid of 26 million last summer and no one came in for Alderweireld. They'll take the same this year but he's a year older now and didn't play as well last season. I expect him to be moved on along with Ben Davies and Serge Aurier paving the way for Sessegnon and Sakai to be bought in.

Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth are both ready now.

So does anyone think Rashford deserves 200K a week? That would put him joint highest earner at Liverpool with Salah.

Unfortunately at OT, that's now '1st team starter' money... Edward screwed up big-time with Sanchez on this aspect more than anything else.

The rumour is that Lingard is next in line for a 'new' deal...

On the plus side, the picture of Luke Shaw arriving for pre-season training at Carrington this morning showed a slim, trim left-back, so at least one of the squad has followed Ole's advice on looking after their fitness during the summer break.

If you throw money at a player to hijack another club's transfer bid, e pluribus unum.....
