Mmmm let me think. Millions in the UK unemployed amid a pandemic. Waiting for a company spokesperson to say although the banner might be thought by some to be in bad taste there is nothing illegal with what they did or the pilot never checked to see what was on the banner or was told the banner bore the words Christine Please Marry Me (same amount of words).

Police say banner not a criminal offence

I totally agree it was in bad taste but even if an offence was found and I could probably come up with a couple then what would be the likelihood of a conviction.

Perhaps they looked at the 1986 Public Order Act Chapter 64 sections 4, 5, & 18 but also taking into consideration Section 29J

Public Order Act 1986

Cant be bothered researching the following list of UK Criminal offences as found in this link

Yes I suspect the issue was that whilst this was wrong on many levels it would not have stood up to a legal test in a court of law so CPS advice would be no realistic possibility of conviction. If posting White Lives matters is illegal then, by extension, so is posting Black lives matter- I stress this is from a purely legal persepctive as legally they are to all intents and purposes similar statements...

The racists who did it might not get their just desserts in a court of law but the football club will deal with them and that's the best that can be done...

Wife of the guy has been sacked from her job or was it left by mutual consent after a discussion with management. His bosses are considering what to do with him.

Hope Rashford changes his boots and legs at half time.

I love that the racists are free to reveal their true thoughts, and free to be judged by society as a result of their actions. I’m not talking about vigilante retribution, merely people doing things within the framework of the law as a consequence of these people spewing their bile.

Switched over at half time to the no crowd version on the Liverpool game. They had the crowd really loud. Could hardly hear Arlo talk.

I have a soft spot for him, he was the "voice of the Sounders" for a couple of years, US teams employing their own commentators.

One game away now, right? Must be getting excited for that asterisk title?

So. Liverpool are no longer the team that has failed for 30 years, well done Chelsea, all over including the, rather muted, shouting. Wonder what they will do about a parade?
