So, Bendan Rodgers at Liverpool

Cause for optimism on Merseyside. Which half of Merseyside we will have to wait and see, but with one eye on the future, he seems a good appointment to me, on paper at least.

It looks like Lambert is on the move again.. I imagine that Norwich are refusing his resignation, in order to help their potential compensation claim.

I was wondering how Scousers would feel about that. From being linked with Mourhino and Capello to landing the Swansea manager (who I doubt I could pick up from a line up). However, it seems like a shrewd move. He's done pretty well with limited resources which is usually a good sign. Not sure how he'll manage with the dressing room egos of a wife beater and a diving racist cheat?

United linked with Shinji Kagawa - but not to sell shirts, of course. He's scored quite a few goals in Germany, so maybe he can actually play a bit. Unlike JS Park who wouldn't be within 100 miles of Old Trafford if he wasn't from our "target market".

...But rather to be the squad's 26th George Clooney.

I get tired of people claiming Park's sole reason for being is to sell shirts. At Eidenhoven he easily became one of the best attacking players in Europe towards the end of his stay, and his work rate is immense. Plus he's arguably the best ever player to have come from Asia on the whole.

On top of that, he has the funniest of all player oriented chants.

Would still like to see United pursue Christian Eriksen's signature above all, though.

He only asked to leave so he might get in the England squad.

And I think people say Park is a shirt-seller because he only plays 15 games a year every year in the league. He tends to play a fair few CL games mind.

Park is a very good squad player, every team needs a player in his mould I think. The fact he shifts shirts is a bonus of course.

Brendan Rodgers is exactly the kind of manager that FSG said they wanted when they came in, although a little short on track record. Im surprised that AVB didnt get a look in though. Fingers crossed. What more can you do eh

I saw that Swansea had some protection in place to stop Brendan Rodgers raiding their squad, if that's really necessary then I don't fancy Rodgers long term survival prospects.

United are supposed to be competing with the best in Europe. Both for honours, and players. How many teams would Park get into? Madrid? Barca? City? Bayern? I don't think so. Yes, his work rate is immense, but he isn't good enough - but then neither are Anderson, Nani, Carrick, or Young. A pretty shit midfielder, in a pretty shit midfield. When your best player is a midget who can't tackle that you drag from retirement you aren't going to win many European Cups!

So, apparently United have agreed a fee, just sorting out personal terms for a move to Manchester. Obviously £100k a week and an umbrella should do the trick.

United announced the signing on their official Facebook feed this mining, so it's a done deal.

Park is the equivalent of Dirk Kuyt. Maybe with more goals though. Works like a flogged horse but without any real outcome to be honest. People like a tryer and in a flashy midfield Park was a nice cog. That midfield is rather shit now though. I had this sneaking feeling that Ferguson was going to pull a fast one and end up coming back from that Bayern/Borussia game with Schweinsteiger in tow. He would flourish so much in the Premier League.

Yeah, I agree. I thought schweinsteiger was on the cards. Still, United's debt will be paid off inside 12 months with this new Oriental fellow. Jolly good.

Dirk Kuyt. The milky kid. I bet Crouch is sad now that he is possibly the ugliest player left in the PL. Assuming Bale gets his plastic surgery in the off-season, of course.

I guarantee you that you'll end up with Bale at Utd. Hilariously Redknapp will agree money and one of the rejects from Manure though. Probably Anderson.

Have Rooney and Tevez been shipped off somewhere else then?
