plumber/renewable energy engineer looking for future work in calgary
me and my family are currently in the process planning to emmigrate to calgary from the U.K.i am a fully qualified plumber,pipefitter and gas engineer and am currently training to be a Qualified Renewable energy engineer which i will have finished by december.okotoks is where we are planning to live and although i am going as a plumber i wondered whether or not there are any jobs in calgary or the surrounding area within the renewable energy sector,especially drake landing solar community regarding my qualifications as i have a great interest in the renewable energy field and would like to get into it more as a career in canada and thought if there was any kind of posts in that community would be a dream seeing as thats where we are planning to move too.when im finished my course i will be qualified in the following:
solar hot water installer.
solar panel installer
ground source heat pumps installer.
domestic loft insulation installer.
part L energy efficiency qualified.
unvented hot water specialist.
fully qualified plumber,pipefitter and gas engineer.
does anyone know of anyone i could contact specifically regarding this or does anyone on here work in renewable energy or plumbing that could give me a bit of advice?

And it's worth checking out the Canadian Wind Energy Association website if you haven't already, obviously the deal in wind energy but they have a jobs section which may be useful and may cover other sectors of renewables.
Plus Monster.ca is good too. Renewable energy is booming over there, hubby is fighting off the job offers at the mo! So you've chosen a good field to get in to.

thanks for the info,given me a lot of confidence in my chances.ive also been looking into doing a course on domestic wind turbines in the very near future so im hoping its all going to pay off when i get there
